# Docs MCP

Connect a coding agent to the live Blnk docs.

The Docs MCP is the knowledge base your agent reads while it builds with Blnk. It searches these pages, then reads the one that matches the task.

Add it once. After that, the agent checks the docs before it names an endpoint, a field, or a ledger.

## Set it up

Click **Copy agent prompt**, then paste it into your agent. It writes the Docs MCP into that agent's config.

<Prompt>

Add the Blnk Docs MCP to this agent.

The server name is `blnk-docs`. The URL is `https://docs.blnkfinance.com/mcp`. The transport is HTTP, with no API key and no headers.

Write it into the MCP config for the agent I am using, and keep every other server.

Cursor uses `~/.cursor/mcp.json` under `mcpServers`. Claude Code uses `~/.claude.json`, or `.mcp.json` in this project, under `mcpServers`. Any other client uses the same URL as a remote HTTP MCP server.

If the tools are not live in this chat, tell me to reload MCP or start a new chat.

</Prompt>

The server is `https://docs.blnkfinance.com/mcp`. It does not take an API key. If the tools are not in the chat yet, reload MCP or start a new chat.

## How it works

Your agent uses these tools to read the docs while it builds. It starts with `orient`, finds the page, then reads it.

| Tool | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| `orient` | Chooses how to read Blnk for this task: a lookup, a ledger design, or an implementation. |
| `search` | Finds up to 10 pages for a question (paginated). Can scope the search inside one of the tabs: Core, Learn, API, SDKs, or CLI. |
| `list_pages` | Lists the pages in one part of the docs, in sidebar order. |
| `read_page` | Reads one page, or one section of it. |
| `get_operation` | For a method and path, shows the API page first, then the matching SDK page. |

## Skills

Three skills install from this site. `blnk` looks up the docs and routes the task, `blnk-design` draws the money movement map, and `blnk-implement` writes the call.

```bash
npx skills add https://docs.blnkfinance.com
```

The CLI installs them into the agents it finds, such as Cursor and Claude Code.
